Solaris ATX is a student-led solar advocacy group that aims to make solar panels a more widespread and available sustainable source of energy across the Austin Metropolitan Area. Our organization\u2019s course of action in achieving our goal is to educate young students on the importance of sustainability, with a specific focus on solar energy and its use through solar panels. Through interactive teaching, we hope to gain community support for solar energy across ATX, yielding long term benefits for sustainability awareness. To sum it up, Solaris ATX is simply a group of passionate high school students who want to inform the youth about solar to shape future caretakers of the world.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Our mission is to create a youth population across the Austin Metropolitan Area that is more aware and passionate around solar energy, understanding the importance of sustainability. We will achieve this goal by visiting schools across our district and teaching students to gain community support for solar energy, expanding our outreach from there. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
